Cuisine American
- 3 ounces orange jello mix
- 3.4 ounces instant vanilla pudding
- 1 cup boiling water
- ½ cup cold water
- 8 ounces Cool Whip thawed
- 15 ounces mandarin oranges drained
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
In a large bowl, combine the orange jello mix and boiling hot water. Use a whisk to stir until all the jello is dissolved, and then add in the cold water. Use a rubber spatula to scrape around the sides of the bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for 15 to 20 minutes.
Remove from the refrigerator and whisk in the dry instant vanilla pudding mix. Use the rubber spatula to scrape the sides of the bowl again to ensure all the jello and pudding are dissolved. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it back in the refrigerator for another 15 to 20 minutes.
Remove the bowl from the refrigerator and gently fold in mandarin oranges, Cool Whip, and marshmallows. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it back in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or until ready to serve.
Make sure the mandarin oranges are well drained before adding them to the fluff mixture.
Stir all the ingredients together carefully, as you don’t want to break apart the orange pieces.
For best results, make sure you give your salad at least 1 hour of chilling time. It allows all of the yummy flavors to blend together.
Use your leftover orange fluff dessert to make creamsicle-style popsicles by placing the leftovers into a popsicle mold. You can also spread it in a baking dish and scoop it up like ice cream once it freezes. It’s delicious this way!
